It's always nice to be recognized for outstanding care, and the hospitals of Meridian Health have received their share of awards.
So have our nurses. In fact, the hospitals of Meridian Health are the first in the region to have received the prestigious Magnet award for nursing excellence three times. The Magnet award is bestowed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the nation's largest and foremost nursing accrediting and credentialing organization.
Riverview Medical Center is also proud to be eight-times "Distinguished" by J.D. Power and Associates. The J.D. Power and Associates Hospital Program is one of the most prestigious health care distinctions in the nation and Riverview has been distinguished for Inpatient Services (2006 and 2007), Emergency Department Experience (2008), Maternity (2009), and Outpatient Services (2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012).
Riverview Medical Center was included in the 2011-2012 Best Hospitals metro area rankings released by U.S. News & World Report. Riverview ranked high-performing in three specialties: Gastroenterology, Geriatrics, and Neurology & Neurosurgery.
