Awards & Recognition

It's always nice to be recognized for outstanding care, and the hospitals of Meridian Health have received their share of awards.

So have our nurses. In fact, the hospitals of Meridian Health are the first in the region to have received the prestigious Magnet award for nursing excellence three times. The Magnet award is bestowed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the nation's largest and foremost nursing accrediting and credentialing organization.

Riverview Medical Center is also proud to be a six-time recipient of the J.D. Power and Associates Distinguished Hospital Award. They included recognitions for Inpatient Services (2006 and 2007), 
Emergency Department Experience (2008), Maternity (2009), and Outpatient Services (2009 and 2010). 

With our Meridian Partner Hospitals, Riverview received the following awards:

• FORTUNE'S "100 Best Companies to Work For" (2010)
• "Best Places to Work in New Jersey" for five consecutive years by NJBiz
• New Jersey's Outstanding Employer of the Year in 2003 and 2009
• One of the top 100 Most Wired Health Systems in the United States for 10 consecutive years
• John M. Eisenberg Award for Patient Safety, one of the highest recognitions in the nation for hospital quality.
