Interviews, Photography, and On Site Access
We have a philosophy of providing an open and accessible partnership with the media and will gladly assist in scheduling interviews, photography, and access to our hospitals and facilities.
To help us ensure appropriateness, accuracy, and timeliness, we ask that all interview, photography, and on site access requests be coordinated through the public relations representative at the hospital or Meridian division you are inquiring about. Only Meridian's public and media relations managers are authorized to schedule and confirm a media interview or photograph with our physicians, staff, and patients in our facilities.
While we are committed to ensuring an open and accessible partnership with the media, Meridian Health reserves the right to deny or cease a request or appearance if the request is inappropriate or conduct by the media on site is disruptive, dangerous, or harmful to our patients, staff, or facility operations.
Requesting Patient Information
Patient Conditions may be obtained by contacting the public relations manager at the hospital you are inquiring about. Any additional questions or needs you may have should be directed to the public relations manager.
In regards to requesting a patient condition, our practice is always to provide the media with accurate and timely information whenever possible. However, we also ask you to appreciate our responsibilities to follow federal and state regulations protecting a patient's right to privacy.
In those special cases when we are unable to provide information regarding our patients either by their request or because it may be in the best interests of the patient's health and safety, we please ask that you appreciate our position as health care providers, and as such, the health, safety, and privacy of our patients must remain our top priority.
Meridian Health adheres to the patient condition standards mutually established by the New Jersey Press Association and the New Jersey Hospital Association.
