To receive this accreditation, both Riverview and Jersey Shore voluntarily underwent thorough evaluations to ensure a commitment to providing the highest level of breast care, meeting NAPBC standards, which include proficiency in the areas of: center leadership, clinical management, research, community outreach, professional education, and quality improvement. Breast centers that achieve NAPBC accreditation have proven to offer patients significant health advantages in battling breast cancer and breast disease.

Your Breast Health is In Your Hands
Although there are some women who are at higher risk, the fact is that all women are at risk for breast cancer. That is why it is so important to follow this three-step plan for preventive care. Although breast cancer cannot be prevented, early detection of problems provides the greatest possibility of successful treatment. Paint the Town Pink
Paint the Town Pink is a community-wide effort to raise awareness of the importance of annual mammography. It all began in 2007, when Red Bank changed their name to Pink Bank for one week to encourage women to have their annual mammogram.
Each year the pink hue has spread, with new towns joining this important annual campaign. In 2013, Paint the Town Pink expanded to a month-long event in towns across Monmouth and Ocean counties, and in 2015 we even broke a world record! Needless to say, we continue to get bigger and pinker each year. Visit our web site to learn more about how you can get involved.
One of the goals of Paint the Town Pink is to raise money for Meridian Health's Pink Fund, to provide free mammograms to uninsured or underinsured women in our community. If you are a woman in need of a mammogram and do not have insurance, please call 732-530-2577.
