This award is one of the most prestigious health care recognitions in the nation, and Riverview has previously received this award for Maternity, Inpatient Services, and Emergency Care Services.
- Recognized by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), and the Magnet Recognition Program® for nursing excellence. As a Meridian Health medical center, Riverview was part of the first health system in the nation to receive this honor. Less than 5% of all hospitals have earned this distinction - one that Riverview has maintained for over twelve years.
- The Booker Cancer Center received three-year approval with commendation from the Commission on Cancer (CoC) of the American College of Surgeons (ACoS).
- Received the American Stroke Association's "Get With The Guidelines" Stroke Silver Performance Achievement Award in recognition of its commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of stroke care by ensuring stroke patients receive treatment according to nationall accepted standards and recommendations.
- Received the Joint Commission's Certificate of Distinction for Primary Stroke Centers that recognizes centers making exceptional efforts to foster better outcomes for stroke care and deliver critical elements that help patients achieve long-term successes after a stroke.
- The Total Joint and Spine Center at Riverview has also received The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval™ for health care quality, as well as Disease-Specific Care Certification for total knee replacement, total hip replacement, cervical spine treatment and lumbar spine treatment.
- Riverview Rehabilitation Center continues to be the only CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) accredited site in Monmouth County and one of two sites in the state for stroke rehabilitation.
- Received full accreditation status from the Society of Chest Pain Centers (SCPC), which made Riverview Medical Center only the fifteenth accredited Chest Pain Center in New Jersey.
- Received a full three-year accreditation from the American College of Radiation Oncology and the Practice Accreditation Program for standards in Radiation Oncology.
