Wise & Well Fall 2006

Message to Wise & Well Members

Dear Friends,

We are about to enter an extra-ordinary era — an era that will be marked by the largest senior population in our nation’s history. Soon the number of individuals 65 and older will reach an astounding 77 million — a full third of the country’s population. That means that more people than ever will be working and raising children while still caring for parents or other older loved ones.

Since one of the most rapidly growing 65+ populations in the country is located right here in Monmouth and Ocean counties, our community has already begun to experience the challenges that this immense culture change poses. At Meridian, we’ve been working hard to meet those challenges by developing health care programs and services that address the needs of busy families and an aging America.

Take, for example, Meridian at Home. Meridian at Home is an innovative program that is customdesigned to meet the needs of our community — enabling clients to remain safely and independently in their own homes while receiving individualized services such as daily monitoring, infusion therapies, rehabilitation, post-surgical follow-up, or a multitude of other at-home options.

To learn more about Meridian at Home and how this service might help you and your family, please visit www.meridianathome.com or call 1-800-655-2555. Or read more in this issue.

Meridian at Home’s consistent, personalized, high-quality care is just one way Meridian Health is helping make life better for busy, modern families.

Best of Health,

John K. Lloyd, FACHE
