Connie Johnson, Ocean Medical Center

For Connie Johnson of Point Pleasant, Ocean Medical Center is part of her family. Not only was she born in Point Pleasant Hospital and volunteered there for many years in the mail room and special care nursery, many of her family members work within the Meridian Health family.

"My son Dave Johnson was a manager at Riverview Medical Center, my daughter-in-law Regina Foley is the vice president of Nursing at Ocean Medical Center, her sister Marie is a nurse manager in the Critical Care Unit at Ocean Medical Center, and my daughter Jody Abken is a critical care nurse at Jersey Shore University Medical Center," says Connie. "How could I not be involved at Meridian? It's all in the family!"

Connie currently volunteers at Ocean Medical Center in Brick, in the sameday surgery suite, and has been a member of the Wise & Well program since its inception in 1997. "It is such a great program," says Connie. "I love the magazine. It has a lot of important informational articles and they offer many events and activities." Connie adds that she has attended numerous programs and events and has liked them all.

"I have a lot of friends who are members and go to the programs. It is another way to socialize while learning important information," says Connie. "I would highly recommend to someone if they were not a member to sign up."
