Clinical Trials
The Booker Cancer Center at Riverview Medical Center is affiliated with the renowned Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia. This relationship gives our adult patients access to more than 60 studies. We also participate in trials through the National Cancer Institute and Pharmaceutical companies.
In addition, Booker Cancer Center is participating in the STAR (Study of Tamoxifen and Raloxifene) trial — one of the largest breast cancer prevention trials ever initiated, and the SELECT trial for prostate cancer. The Booker Cancer Center also has the distinction of being a member of the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG), a leader in defining more effective cancer therapies. Through its membership, Riverview Medical Center has access to numerous clinical investigations designed to increase survival and improve the quality of life of patients with cancer.
Booker Cancer Center is also involved in the Family Risk Assessment Program, a genetics program for those who are at high risk of developing breast and ovarian cancer.
