12th Annual Meridian Gala
Moonlight Serenade Supper Club

Meridian Health Affiliated Foundations’ 12th annual Gala, "Moonlight Serenade Supper Club," was held on November 21, at the Ocean Place Resort and Spa in Long Branch. The unforgettable evening included a 19 piece big band, entertaining the crowd for this 1940s revival and raised over $500,000 with over 650 supporters in attendance.

The event benefits Meridian’s not-for-profit hospitals and services, which include Jersey Shore University Medical Center and K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital in Neptune, Ocean Medical Center in Brick, Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank and Meridian Partner Companies located throughout Monmouth and Ocean counties.

The evening was co-chaired by Mollie and Joseph Giamanco of Red Bank, Vita and George Kolber of Locust, and Susan and Ernest Scherler of Metedeconk. "The volunteers who serve on the Gala committee, which this year included: Anita Roselle, silent auction chair; Maureen Lloyd and Gina Petillo, journal co-chairs; and Vincent Puma and Carol Stillwell, raffle co-chairs, go above and beyond each and every year to ensure we host a truly successful event," noted John K. Lloyd, FACHE, president of Meridian Health. "The strong support of our sponsors, which included, Alert Ambulance Service, Siemens, C.R. Bard Foundation, QualCare Inc., United Surgical Partners International, Peter Cancro and Jersey Mike’s Franchise Systems, and MedAssets, plays a huge role in ensuring Meridian remains one of the state’s top health care providers today and in the future."

The evening’s super 50/50 raffle winner, Carol Stillwell, a Meridian Health Foundation board member, generously donated her winnings back to the Meridian Health Affiliated Foundations.
