Riverview Medical Center Foundation

About the Foundation

Riverview Medical Center Foundation is a separate, non-profit charitable organization, which exists to benefit the programs and services of Riverview Medical Center and the patients and families we serve. With the generous support of our trustees, community members, organizations and foundations, Riverview Medical Center Foundation enables the medical center to continue providing the most advanced care available to our community.

Philanthropic support from people like you provides funds to renovate space and purchase equipment to benefit patients being treated at Riverview Medical Center. Recent technology includes:

  • CyberKnife®: This non-invasive technology treats otherwise inoperable tumors and lesions with sub-millimeter accuracy. Found in only 80 centers throughout the world, RMC's CyberKnife allows for state of the art treatment close to home.

  • 64-Slice CT Scan: This remarkable equipment can take a scan from head to toe in 12 seconds, with the resulting information used for identifying the way your body systems work or are in jeopardy. The most sophisticated of all CT Scan technology, RMC's radiation technicians and radiologists use this for everything from locating the effects of trauma throughout the specific damaged site to how the blood is flowing, in real time, through your veins.

  • Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS): EUS is a valuable new procedure that highly trained sub-specialists in oncology, pulmonology, surgery, and gastroenterology use for better patient care. The procedure allows physicians to better determine the extent of certain cancers and other diseases of the digestive and respiratory systems.
