Total Joint Center
Normally our bodies are supposed to provide us with smooth, pain-free movement.
Why Joint Replacement?
As we age, however, our bodies undergo change that sometimes results in joint pain of the knees, hips and shoulders. This pain is not only uncomfortable but also prevents us from doing the everyday activities we enjoy. Just as no two patients are alike, no two joint replacements are exactly the same. That is why at the Total Joint Center at Riverview Medical Center, our team of expert physicians and clinicians work closely with you from diagnosis through treatment and recovery in order to meet the unique medical and lifestyle needs of each patient.
Common Causes of Joint Pain
Common causes of joint pain are often a result of overuse, sprains, fractures and arthritis. In order to determine the best treatment option for your joint pain, it is important to familiarize yourself with the usual causes and symptoms associated with joint pain, as well as understand your options in maintaining healthy bones and joints.

Our experienced professionals will accurately diagnose your problem and develop a plan of care that fits your needs. We make every attempt to try every possible non-surgical treatment before considering surgery. However, when a surgical procedure becomes the right choice, our team has the ability to replace all major joints, including hips, knees and shoulders.
Total Package
For many patients, the road to treatment and eventual recovery seems an overwhelming task, but at the Total Joint Center your journey back to mobility is not an individual effort. With the help of a program coordinator, you and your family will be guided through the transitions between pre-operative education, surgery, physical therapy, and rehabilitation, all the way through your return home.
Our “Morning at the View” program is a unique pre-admission experience designed for total joint replacement patients preparing for surgery, offering a comprehensive, personalized, and convenient approach to all pre-operative testing and education. We focus on communication all of the important information about your care and your stay. We also encourage our patients to ask lots of questions so you feel comfortable and confident every step of the way, and always know what to expect.
As a patient or guest of Riverview, you also have access to Concierge Care, a complimentary service designed to provide assistance with non-clinical needs. We even offer a special menu of services to cater to the unique needs of our joint replacement patients, including information about home food delivery services, pet walking, lawn and household cleaning services, and more for your return home.
