Mail, Packages, and Flowers
Any deliveries will be brought directly to your room. Mail received after discharge will be forwarded to your home. Please give any outgoing mail to your nurse.
Telephones
For your convenience, a telephone is provided in each room as a complimentary amenity. The telephone will allow you to receive incoming telephone calls from outside the Medical Center and to dial anywhere within the state of New Jersey without charge.
- NJ calls to area code 732, Dial 9 + 732 + Telephone Number
- All other NJ area codes and Toll-Free, Dial 9 + 1 + Area Code + Number
- All Interstate Calls, Dial 9 and follow instructions on your calling card or prepaid telephone card.
- Calls within the Medical Center, Dial the extension number or “0” for Operator.
- Phone problems, Notify your nurse.
Cellular Phones
While cell phone use is permitted at Jersey Shore, we ask that usage be limited to lobby areas, the cafeteria, and outside the Medical Center. Please refrain from using cell phones in patient rooms, waiting areas, elevators, or other areas that might disrupt other patients.
Television
A remote-controlled television is provided in each room free of charge. We also offer “Visitor’s Vision,” a service that allows patients with visiting restrictions to speak with friends and family through a closed-circuit television system. Please speak to your nurse to make arrangements.
Patients televisions can be adapted to allow closed-captioned viewing upon request. For assistance or to report any problems, please contact Guest Relations.
WiFi / Internet Access
WiFi is available throughout the Medical Center, and guests are able to access this service via a personal computer. Please note this is a public wireless access system and should not be used to transmit or access secure information. In addition, you will find certain Web sites are blocked by the Medical Center for policy reasons.
